Heyyyy Thereeeeee
Hey everyone!
Since there are a lot of new faces here, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Arman, but I also go by Hope and Oranges.
The name Hope and Oranges comes from the meaning of my name, which is “hope” or “dream” in Persian. Fun fact: Oranges are my favorite fruit, especially Sumo oranges.
A little about me: I started photography about four years ago while in college. I’ve always been artistically inclined. Some of my earliest memories are of sneaking into my dad’s art supplies and accidentally ruining his Copic markers because I thought they were Crayola. That curiosity and creative spark never left.
It wasn’t until I took Photography 104 with Professor Rachel Von Stroup that something truly clicked. The moment I picked up a camera, it lit something in me, and I haven’t put it down since.
Since then, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, participated in multiple art shows, and even started exploring mural work. I’m excited to keep growing in that space.
This blog is where I’ll share the thought process behind each of my projects, what inspires me, what challenges me, and what I learn along the way.
Thanks for being here. I hope you enjoy the journey.
